Welcome to Big Green Lake!

This beautiful lake is the deepest natural inland lake in Wisconsin (230 ft). Big Green Lake is one of the premier recreational lakes in the Midwest. Its 7,000-acre surface and 33 miles of wooded shoreline are the perfect setting for boating and water activities.

Sport fishing, boating, swimming and sailing are popular summer activities, along with watching beautiful sunsets over the water. Three golf courses in the area add to the recreational opportunities, plus many enjoy driving the peaceful rural roads to view birds and wildlife in all seasons. There's plenty of room for sailboats, sport boats, cabin cruisers, and the occasional regatta. Every kind of boat is available for rent. Spend a day on the lake, tie up at one of the waterfront parks to grill a sandwich, anchor on the Norwegian Bay sand bar and play Frisbee, dock at one of the many restaurants or just relax on the open water.

If you enjoy fishing, it is home to both cold- and warm-water species due to its depth. Trout fishing is excellent, with trophy-size catches awaiting you. Northern, walleye, bass, perch and panfish are abundant. In the winter, the lake is dotted with shanties as the ice fishermen come out in force. Ice boating, ice-skating, and cross-country skiing are also popular!
